Dear Parents,
We finally have a sunny summer… I hope you’re all enjoying the weather (maybe a little too hot but we daren’t complain!!) Well what a busy summer term we’ve had , what with the Alice Show; thank you for all the lovely feedback ,we hope the children will treasure the memories. At least there won’t be another show for another 3 years!!!
Sadly, as most of you would have known that Mrs Wise’s also has left us and has moved away down to Devon. All the family have all settled down well in their new home and the children in their schools. Thank you for all the donations for her leaving present, the school purchased an outdoor planter, a ballerina bear links charm, (and as she’s become quite a cake baker ) a butterfly tiered cake stand. We wish her and her family the best of luck , she is looking forward in starting a new practice down there and will pop up to see us from time to time.
We also had Mr Lois retiring this Summer after playing for 30 years for the Demeric School of Dance with Mrs DeMeric and then for us. He has assured us that he will still happily play for the Cecchetti Exams and the odd class if we need him.
I also had a little surprise arriving 4 weeks early ….Harry Arthur Whitfield at 5lbs 10oz which some of you met at the end of term hence I apologise for being slightly late in responding to certain emails or requests but he is very scrumptious and I am very much enjoying my time with him with big brother adoring him just a little too much!
And lastly there are still places available on the Summer Workshop, it will run from Weds 28th , to Friday 30th August so please let me know if your child may be interested. Friends from outside of Demeric School of Dance may also attend. A workshop form is attached as well as any other info. can be viewed on www.demericdance.co.uk.
