A big big Thank you for all your support and fundraising for our 50th Year of Celebrating the Demeric School of Dance in Farnham. We raised a total of £2727.84!!! Well done to you all!!! We managed to raise£214.00 from our last Mufti Day. We had lovely Tutus, Princess Dresses and Fairies. Please view the attachment of one of the Adult Tap Classes who also dressed up for Mufti. So thank you all again!
We hope you all saw the Newspaper articles that were published, if not ,you can order them from the Farnham Herald or the Fleet and Aldershot  News and Mail as a back order or we will be updating our website shortly with them.
Mrs De Meric kindly presented us with our 3rd Mirror for the Dance Studio at the Maltings so now have our complete set along the back wall, feel free to pop in and have a look when coming to drop off or pick up the children. We are also hoping to put up some new permanent barres with 2 different height levels as the existing ones are looking a little tired.
We hope you all received our Summer Workshop, we have decided to have it at the end of the Summer as so many children cannot make the usual time at the start of the Summer Holidays, we hope this will be a popular event so please let us know if your child may be interested. A Workshop form is also attached.
We have changed the timetable slightly so please check the new timetables when they come out. We have only changed a few of the classes as some of the Seniors students were finding it increasingly difficult juggling school work and their dancing. The Summer term is always a busy term… the children are off for Residentials with their schools, as well as illnesses we are aware that problems that can arise so please let us know by email or phone if your child will be absent from class. We hope all the relevant exam children have had all their paperwork as Exam Rehearsals are starting this weekend with the following 2 weekends being Exams. If you are unsure please speak to the class teacher or let us know…..we hope they will do well  and ask them to keep practicing their smiles!!!
And sadly we are losing 2 of our teachers this term. Miss Marie will be leaving us on  Wednesday evenings as she decided to take on more work closer to home, and we will also be losing Miss Rachel from Mondays at Weybourne Infant School  as she has been offered full time work in a Primary School. She will still be around the teach the Adult Ballet on Thursday evenings. We wish them luck in their next ventures!!
Any queries please let us know,
Aurelia Whitfield and Emma Wise.
