No Sound Ever Dies

No Sound Ever Dies

Surrey Arts’ is looking for dancers to participate in their new commission No Sound Ever Dies.

They are looking for dancers aged 14-21 to join their existing company for an amazing opportunity to perform as part of a mass participation event this summer. Surrey Arts has assembled an incredible team to deliver a specially commissioned 45 minute piece celebrating the history of Brooklands.

No Sound Ever Dies will be performed in an iconic space at the heart of Brooklands Museum, as the headline performance of the Brooklands in Sound festival on Saturday 14th July 2018.

Singers, instrumentalists and dancers drawn from school, community and county council groups across Surrey will be joined on stage by high calibre industry professionals playing principal roles. The piece is inspired by the spirit of adventure and innovation which characterised important motor racing developments at Brooklands in the 20th century.

They are inviting dancers age 14-21 to participate in the commission as part of our dance/physical theatre company. You will work with Director Lucy Bradley and Choreographer Grace Black, taking inspiration from Brooklands Museum and words and music from the piece, to create movement and dance that will bring the commission to life!

It is completely free to take part, all we need is your enthusiasm and commitment to the project! The project will take place between June 11th and July 14th.

It is essential that you have previous dance experience and are open to working in a creative and collaborative way with the director and choreographer
