Susan Laurine Clarke

Sue Laurine Clarke went to the University of Cape Town where she studied General Ballet Knowledge; Theory of Ballet; History of Ballet and Practical Teaching, incorporating music and choreography. Sue did all her training in Bulawayo and Harare – Zimbabwe with Dawn Nimr, Noreen Chisholm (RAD Senior Examiner) and Mercia Hetherington. In 1981 Sue took over the Chisholm School of Ballet and ran her own school for 3 years. During this time Sue worked closely with Children with Special Needs, an area of society very close to her heart! Sue had her own school in Newbury UK for 12 years and has been very fortunate to have taught in Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and USA, where she was able to continue her work with disadvantaged children and adults.

Sue is delighted to be applying her years of teaching experience in another genre of the classical ballet, Cecchetti, and working for the Demeric School of Dance.
