Fred Sweetman
Fred Sweetman – Ex Student Performing at the Peacock Theatre In London Saturday 15th April .
I had the pleasure of being invited to the Peacock Theatre in London on Saturday to see ‘London Children’s Ballet – Snow White’. Fred Sweetman an ex-student who started Demeric at the age of 2yrs and then left when he was 11yrs old to attend Tring School of Performing Arts. Fred was specially cast as the Raven in the show….words can’t express how proud I was to see him perform again, now at 15yrs old, so tall and grown up, super flexible and a very convincing dark casted Raven! All the staff that have taught him over the years are so proud, Well done Fred!!!! It was truly a wonderful show, cast and choreography, what a joy to see him perform again. A little write and more photos will be up on the website soon. It is so humbling to see students perform and some seniors even returning back to class after uni as Adults. So please keep me up to date with any other performances!!!
“My name is Fred Sweetman and I attend Tring Park school for the Performing Arts. I started dancing at Demeric when I was two. I remember loving every class I took and it brought me so much joy to go to them. I danced with Demeric until I was eleven when, with the help of Demeric , I submitted an application to Tring Park school for the performing arts. After weeks of anxious waiting, I received the news that I had been offered a place. I was so happy and immensely grateful for all the help and support I got from everyone at Demeric. At Tring we have an hour and a half class with one of our classical ballet teachers in one of our studios every day, paired with a variety of different classes depending on the day. These include, modern, tap, contemporary, choir, music or a specialty ballet class for boys. I am lucky to have such a secure foundation that Demeric gave me as it enabled me to be comfortable in class while also being able to challenge my technical and artistic development. I love every day at Tring and fell like I am living a dream life. I will be forever in debt to all the hours the staff put into to making me the dancer I am today”.
