What a fantastic Choreography Competition we had yesterday!  Lots of wonderful costumes and array of dance genres from Tap to Ballet, Contemporary and Free style and Acro with 20 dances made from groups, duets and solos. Wow, what an amazing afternoon we had yesterday with our annual Choreography Competition at the Farnham Maltings on Sunday 3rd March 2019. We had our biggest event ever with 40 students taking part!!! What a real treat and pleasure to what the diversity of costumes, music and style of dancing. I feel ever so proud that even from the age of 5 years through to 16 years the students are so keen, brave and enthusiastic to demonstrate their creative work and to take part.                                ...

What a fantastic Choreography Competition that was held on Sunday 25th February 2018 at St. Polycarp’s School….parents you must have been really proud!  We had such a lovely range of choreography, great choice of music with dances from Acro , Street Dance, Ballet , Jazz from ages 6yrs – 13yrs. A real treat and so difficult to judge!!!   Our Solo Winner was Ella Rogers, Runner up was Charlie Scott and 2 special commendations were given to Freya Davis and Jessica Johnson. We will be holding our annual Choreography Competition Sunday 25th February 2018. The competition will take place at at St. Polycarp’s School at 3pm till approximately 4.30pm. We feel it is a good opportunity for the children to explore their creativity in dance movement and gain some experience in performing to an audience. Last years competition was a great success and all the children involved thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Choreography Competition 2016

Congratulations to all the children & students who took part in our Choreography Competition on Sunday 28th February.  What a lovely array of fantastic costumes and styles of dancing had. Parents you must of been so proud! We had a total of 13 dances entered, 7 Group & Duets and 6 Solos entered; all beautifully presented and rehearsed with even some lovely props. Children’s Award & Mabel Ryan Awards

Award Information The Cecchetti Children’s Award and Mabel Ryan Awards are organised by the Cecchetti Group and are part of the annual Cecchetti Classical Ballet Awards.  The aim is to encourage dance quality and to demonstrate the high standard of children training in the Cecchetti Method. There are four sections – the Children’s Award, the Junior Award, the Middle Award and the Senior Award and all competitors are required to show the set work for their section and a set solo.
