Due to the request for more senior workshops we would like to run a Contemporary / Creative Workshop, which will take place in the Easter holidays at the Farnham Maltings on Friday 11th April.
The Workshop will be divided into a Contemporary technique warm up and stretch followed by movements across the room and a short Contemporary piece. We will then have a short break followed by Creative and Choreography work.
The session will be from 1.30-3.30pm for students from Grade 5 and above and the workshop will be taken by one of our past students Katie Kelly (as some of you will remember as the ‘Coppelia Doll’ in Coppelia). After Katie trained at Tring for 2 years she decided to go onto the Contemporary route and further her training with London Contemporary School in London. She is in her final year and presently teaches on Saturdays for them with the Junior Programme. She has recently returned from a trimester in California studying Contemporary and Creative techniques, so we will be in for a real treat having her working with us.
Refreshments will be provided but please bring practice clothes or Dance wear to dance in. We hope this will be a popular event, places will be limited and will be given on a first come first served basis on receipt of the form, which you can find in Downloads. It is also opened to children who do not attend Demeric School of Dance. The cost of the Workshop will be £20.00
