Young dancers aspiring for a career in dance can gain an insight into what’s involved and receive candid answers to their questions at a special dance event hosted by The Dance Movement on Thursday 18 May.
In partnership with the Farnham Maltings, The Dance Movement will be presenting an evening of dance with graduates from the London Studio Centre’s Professional Ballet Programme, Images Ballet Company.
The dance programme The evening will begin at 7.30pm with the showing of four contrasting works:
- Choreographer Liz Aggiss will delve into fairytales to find death and disaster in her first work for a ballet company.
- Morgann Runacre-Temple from Ballet Ireland will present surreal articulations of the female body
- A new score by Tom Armstrong will bring to life dances from the prologue of Sleeping Beauty, and
- Matthew Hart will explore how romance and loss are deftly woven into Malcolm Arnold’s vibrant Concerto for Two Pianos (Three Hands).
Post-show discussion A post-show discussion will be held with the Artistic Director Jennifer Jackson. If you are a young dancer aspiring for a career into dance, this is a perfect opportunity to ask those all important burning questions.
Tickets Tickets cost £12 for adults and £7 for concessions. A discount is available for group bookings as follows: 15 or more tickets – £5 per person 10-14 tickets – £6 per person
